How Does Infrared Heat Work?
The heat that is produced by infrared heaters is radiant heat like the sun, meaning that it warms you up without warming the air in between making it more tolerable than traditional heating systems or steam saunas. The infrared heat is absorbed by your body, heating you from the inside out. This is a healthy form of heat that allows the body to expel the toxins, fat and impurities from your cells into your blood stream. These will then be released from your body in the form of sweat.
Infrared Heat Health Benefits
Detoxification of the Body
Sweat produced by infrared heat contains approximately 20% toxins, compared to 3% with sweat produced by traditional heat and exercise.
Strengthens Cardiovascular System & Increased Calorie Burn
As a response to an increased body temperature, your heart rate will increase. This helps to strengthen the heart because the body is working harder to cool itself down. This in turn will also increase the amount of calories you burn during your yoga practice.
Reduces Pain
By increasing blood flow and because of the deep penetrating heat, infrared heat will help to eliminate joint and muscle pain. The increased blood flow helps to heal sore muscles and joints.
Assists in Relaxation
Many Studio W.I.S.E clients have commented that the infrared heat has assisted in their relaxation.
